Welcome to US

The US campaign is a proud collaboration between Kimberley Community Legal Services and the Marninwarntikura Women’s Resource Centre, two organisations deeply rooted in the Kimberley community. Together, we are the US behind US, united in our mission to create a brighter, stronger, and safer Kimberley for everyone.

This initiative is about shifting the narrative from one of despair to one of strength and recognising the vital role the community plays in making this change happen. It’s a message of hope, unity, and action: that together, we can be the change we need. To support this, we have created resources to inspire and empower individuals and families across the Kimberley. For those experiencing abuse or affected by it, we are here to help and support you on your journey toward safety and healing. Because US is better without abuse.

The Power of US

Abuse doesn’t discriminate. It touches all of US – women, men, kids, and Elders – destroying love, breaking trust, and stealing hope. But US, united, can change that. Together, we can end abuse, restore love, rebuild trust, and bring back hope, creating a Kimberley where everyone feels safe, valued and supported. That’s the power of US.

Changing abusive ways

It’s not easy to face the harm caused by abuse. Many have caused lasting and serious damage to their families and communities. But abuse doesn’t have to define you forever. If you truly care about the people in your life and want to create a better life for them and yourself, you have the power to change.

Break the cycle. Fix the problem

Positive change begins when you are truly ready to acknowledge the harm caused and commit to breaking the cycle. There are services available to help you leave abuse behind and start the process of healing. These services are here to support you as you rebuild trust and relationships and begin your journey to becoming the person you want to be.

By making a commitment to change, you not only help yourself, but you can also become a role model in your community – showing others that transformation is possible.

Campaign Resources

The US campaign resources help US spread the message and drive change across the Kimberley. Downloadable materials like videos, posters, and brochures raise awareness and inspire action. Whether you’re an individual, business, or community group, these tools make it easy to share and spark conversations, uniting US to stand against abuse.

Support

Services

Support services are here for US all - providing a safe space for those affected by abuse to seek help, protection, and healing. They offer guidance for those supporting others and counselling for those wanting to change abusive behaviours. By engaging with these services, together US can create a Kimberley free from abuse.
