In a major win for the US Without Abuse campaign, we are pleased to announce that P!nk’s global anthemic smash ‘What About Us’ will be the official soundtrack for the movement. The song will feature across key communications moving forward, adding even greater emotional weight to the message.
The ‘US Without Abuse’ campaign was launched in December, led by Kimberley Community Legal Services in partnership with Marninwarntikura Women’s Resource Centre. The campaign, produced by Wunan Media, incorporates powerful storytelling tailored to resonate deeply with local audiences to debunk the normalisation of abuse in the Kimberley community. The campaign continues to gain momentum across the region, with ads running over television, radio, online platforms and public spacers.
Christine Robinson, CEO of Kimberley Community Legal Services said: “It is amazing that we have been granted permission from someone like Pink to use her work in the campaign, especially as she is an ambassador for so many meaningful charities. We’re excited by the feedback we’ve been getting from the local community, and this is going to add another level of recognition for the campaign by the use of her incredibly moving song.”
Marninwarntikura Women’s Resource Centre CEO Emily Carter AM welcomed the announcement, stating: “Music has the power to connect, to heal, and to move people to action. P!nk’s ‘What About Us’ is an anthem of resilience and hope—exactly what this campaign is about.”
